    Services include counseling and supports for people of all ages who need help with personal and/or family issues, life transitions, divorce, loss, depression, anxiety, other emotional concerns, bullying, domestic violence and/or addiction.

    Services include subsidized in-home support services for survivors who meet the financial criteria and Claims Conference eligibility. Services include personal care, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, medication reminders, respite and shopping.

  • Food Assistance

    Services include volunteers registering eligible older adults for the State Food Assistance Program.

  • Kosher Food Pantry at Yad Ezra

    Services include food, holiday packages, toiletries and household cleaning products based on family size. Clients are referred to other agencies for additional support.

    Services include access to weekday meals delivered to the homes of homebound older adults.

    Services include dental care to people with developmental disabilities. Gesher Human Services work with community partners to provide these services.

  • Enrichment Programs for People with Developmental Disabilities

    Services include programming for adults, teens and children with special needs. Programs include self expression through the arts, vocational training in Friendship Circle’s Soul Cafe and in the community, volunteer opportunities, social programs, Jewish education, fitness and exercise, life skills development and training, sports, music, outings, and matching of volunteers with children/teens with disabilities to provide friendship to the children/teens and respite for the family.

    JARC provides a wide range of enrichment programs, events and social opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities that they serve and for select events, the larger community.

    The Kids All Together program provides staff support to enable children with developmental disabilities to be fully included in Center Day Camps, the Pitt Child Development Center and other programs at the JCC; Teens All Together, which is an 8 week summer program for teens with developmental disabilities, focuses on vocational, recreational and independent living skills development and Adult Social Group provides social activities and programs for adults with disabilities.

  • Independent Living Services for People with Disabilities

    Helps individuals with disabilities residing in Oakland and Wayne Counties to pursue their interests, live more independently, and make important decisions. The program links participants with services including medical, social, vocational, educational, and community support services as well as assistance in obtaining legal representation, transportation, and respite care.

    Services include group homes and apartments for adults with developmental disabilities who require regular support. Needs vary between homes, and JARC strives to support each person’s independence, while providing necessary assistance.
